The business idea came from Mr. Radu Ioan, an experienced entrepreneur who, during the COVID period, sought a place to “escape” from the city. He discovered a secluded spot in the hamlet of Măguran, in the village of Zece Hotare, and saw the potential to purchase several old, traditional houses and equip them with modern amenities for himself and his guests to enjoy.
Radu took out two loans from ROMCOM—the first to complete the purchase of the traditional houses and the land they were on, and the second loan for furnishing and equipping the accommodation facilities. The complex currently includes three units: Casa Radu, a decades-old house that has been fully renovated, retaining its original wooden and stone architecture; Casa de Piatră, a traditional Romanian house with 60 cm stone walls bound with clay and lime; and Casa Zece Frați, a home rebuilt on the framework of an old wooden house dating back over 120 years. The property also features a barbecue area, a jacuzzi, an open-air amphitheater, and other modern amenities.
